Gillian MacLaren Jacobs

Gillian MacLaren Jacobs born October 19th, 1982 is an American actress. Britta Perry, who is a comedian on NBC is well-known for her appearances in the Netflix series Love (2016-2018), Mickey Dobbs in the romantic comedy series Love (2016-2018), or Atom Eve on Invincible (2021). She had a recurring role as Mimi-Rose in the fourth season of the HBO comedy-drama series Girls (2012-2017) and has appeared in films such as Life Partners (2014), Hot Tub Time Machine 2 (2015), Don't Think Twice (2016), Brother Nature (2016), Life of the Party (2018), Ibiza (2018), I Used to Go Here (2020) as well as the Fear Street trilogy (2021). Gillian MacLaren Jacobs was conceived in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on October 19th, 1982. Her mother, Martina Magenau Jacobs, is employed in alumni relations at Carnegie Mellon University, while her father, William F. Jacobs Jr. was an investment banker. Her father passed away in 2013. Her mother raised her in Mt. Lebanon, Pennsylvania. Her family was the owners of the Erie Brewing Company (not to be confused with the later brewery that bears the identical name) in which her grandfather, John Martin Magenau Jr., served as the president and CEO until the company was shut down in 1978.Jacobs started studying acting at the age of four and took acting classes on weekends at the Pittsburgh Playhouse while growing up. She performed regularly with the Pittsburgh Public Theater. This gave her the opportunity to perform in Titania's production A Midsummer Night's Dream. Mt. Lebanon High School in the year 2000, she relocated to New York City to attend the Juilliard School, where she received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2004.
