Emily Swallow

American actor Emily Swallow was born December 18th 1979. Her performances in The Mentalist as Kim Fischer and Supernatural as Amara/The Darkness are her most well-known. She also appears as The Armorer in the live-action Star Wars series The Mandalorian and had a minor role in the role of Emily in the video game The Last of Us Part II. Swallow was born on December 18, 1979, in Washington, D.C. She was raised in Sterling, Virginia and Jacksonville, Florida. While at Stanton College Preparatory School in Jacksonville, she began acting in a variety of college, amateur, and professional theatre productions. Swallow graduated with a BA in Middle Eastern Studies at the University of Virginia in 2001. She pursued the course to pursue an MFA in Acting in New York University's Tisch School of the Arts in Acting. The show was the world premiere of Donald Margulies’ play The Country House at Los Angeles’ Geffen Playhouse. She also appeared alongside Mark Rylance in Louis Jenkinsthe production of Nice Fish at Guthrie Theatre. In 2010, she won the Falstaff Award as best female performer for her role in The Taming of the Shrew. She also starred alongside Jac Huberman in Jac N Swallow's musical Romantic Poetry at the Manhattan Theater Club. The show is about the hilarious mishaps of Jac Huberman and Swallow in their battle with very different challenges in their lives with varying degrees.
