Sofia Margarita Vergara

Sofia Margarita Vergara, Spanish was born on the 10th of July, 1972. She is an actress presenter, producer, model, and television host from Colombia. Vergara was the highest-paid female actress on American television from 2013 and 2020. Vergara rose in prominence during her time hosting two programs on Univision's Spanish-language television network in the mid-90s. Her first notable acting job in English was in the film Chasing Papi (2003). Later, she appeared in Four Brothers (2006) and Tyler Perry's comedy Jail (2008). She was nominated for an ALMA Award for the former. She was first seen as Gloria Delgado–Pritchett in ABC's comedy show Modern Family, for which she was awarded four Golden Globe Awards, four Primetime Emmy Awards and eleven Screen Actor Guild Awards. Vergara also voiced the characters in animated films Happy Feet Two (2011). Escape from Planet Earth (2013). and The Emoji Movie (2018). Vergara was also the highest paid Hollywood actress in 2020 [citation required]. Vergara is America's Got Talent judge since 2020. Vergara was the daughter of a Roman Catholic family from Barranquilla. Her mother Margarita Vergara was a housewife and her father Julio Enrique Vergara Robayo was a cattle rancher. Five of her siblings and a lot of her cousins used to call her "Toti". Vergara was originally a student at National University of Colombia in dentistry. Then she quit after two years to pursue opportunities for modeling and show business.
